7 weeks with the Paskowitz Surf Camp www.paskowitz.com crew in San Diego Campland on the Bay What an incredible experience, I met some wonderful people and made some friends for life ( sniff sniff ), I also got exhausted and exhilerated teaching kids to surf. Working alongside some amazing watermen, helping the autistic families and kids get into the water. Surfers Healing
Sleeping in a tent for 7 weeks, definately welcomed a snuggley bed. Now I have been away a week, I have struggled with the transition, living in such close proximities with people can be agitating at times but generally plenty of giggles and hilarious times were had. I am really proud that I took the plunge to do something out of my comfort zone! Reflection is key in any rewarding experience, I feel so blessed to have experienced a Southern Californian summer with the Paskowitz Crew. San Diego is such a buzzy town, great surf and lots to see. I learned so much about surf culture and its rich history, I have a new found appreciation for many surf crafts. Traveling is in my blood, I love being on the road, meeting new people, discovering new spots, testing my strength to step into the unknown, trust.
My travels now took me to L.A to see a special friend, now I am in Santa Cruz, with some wonderful surfing chicas, who have opened up there home to me, and dear old snowboarding friends. What a fabulous spot, very eco friendly, cool water, kelp in the ocean and bikes everywhere, fresh summer fruit, and waves on the way!
