Kia Ora & Gidday to everyone!
I have been off the radar lately as far as Wahine on Waves goes! Putting her aside for a while to concentrate on my own personal life, Pilates and work at Surf School – Mojo.
Focus is everything and where our focus and attention goes our energy flows.
Three years ago I set flight from New Zealand to further my career and experience life and opportunities in Australia, the opportunities proved great and now 3 years on I have a great work, life and play balance through my work as a Pilates Teacher at Life Works Pilates Lennox Head and Mojo Surf in Byron Bay. I still Coach Snowboarding for Mint Tours so check out their epic tours and coaching programs.
I have also met some wonderful friends who share in passion for the ocean, adventure and the love of the great outdoors.
I also found love in my darling partner Az, something I had longed to find. In my early twenties I experienced the loss of a loved one and thereafter struggled to find trust in life whilst trying to figure this whole thing out! I had some super rough times ( like we all do ) and through the guidance of my beloved parents, friends and my love of nature and the great outdoors I managed to strive on and create this life I love!
I am extremely passionate about Wahine on Waves and encouraging fellow women and girls to follow their dreams, to continue to strive on even when the going gets tough. To reach out to community and feel the support around you from friends and family! To speak openly of your hopes and dreams, to not be afraid to want the ultimate best for yourself and those around you!
I have just turned 40 years old, I have an extremely loving partner in my life and an adventurous bundle of love that I am growing inside me ( I am 5 months pregnant ), we live in beautiful Lennox Head in Northern NSW, Australia.
As we are about to embark on another great journey, parenthood, my message to you all is to believe that you can achieve all that you want, believe in the timing of life and try and be patient, work hard towards your goals and stop to have a yarn to a random stranger in the carpark, some of my best mates have been made this way! Ha true!
Yeah anyways Wahine on Waves is not dead we plan to do more camps, surf days and events in the future but for now we are focusing on ourselves to grow a healthy lil legend! I will still be posting stuff and don’t worry I won’t baby spam you – hahah well atleast I say that now!
Love to you all and keep charging!
